Well, they did it. With the help of InCode Telecom, Bell Canada launched their payphone hotspot serviceearlier this year. Turns out the already had dsl going to many payphones, so why not just leverage (exploit) the advantage by tossing an access point on it too? At this point it's free, but they will no doubt begin charging something later this year. Sort of begs the question - who uses payphones anymore anyway? Airports have been losing money on payphone revenue for years as cellular services have grown (even in London). I wonder if this will pose a problem in the upcoming sequel to the Matrix? Harder to phone your way back...
