While it's never fun saying goodbye to friends, keeping in touch is one of the many benefits - as everybody knows - of the web. It's fun to see people who are begining a new adventure, as Dean Calbreath and Sara Thailing (and their two kids) are beginnig soon. We said are farewells on a rainy Saturday evening and expect Sara to start a blog ("a what?") she can call her own as they head out for a year in the orient. I'm trusting Dean to talk her into it. As a writer I believe she would really enjoy it. Just do it!
Heading out tomorrow to the CTIA event in New Orleans. This year, as last, Wi-Fi is on the top of the agenda. CNET has a good overall description of events, which feature a "who's who" of wireless.

Well, that audio blog sure was fun. Now, if it just could to TTS (text to speech) with some degree of accuracy, the storage would not be so prohibitvely large. I think the best use of the audio blog, which I'll try later today, is multimedia: adding a snip of audio with a photo - also from your cell phone - would be great. Somebody must be doing that already, come to think of it. On the other hand, maybe there are moments in life best left unpreserved. I'll never forget the president of
